On the closing of the poll campaign for July 10 crucial Jalandhar West bypoll, the Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar has appealed to voters to cast their votes in unison to reject the talibani atmosphere of violence, day light robberies, ransom calls unleashed on Punjab by an inefficient and inept state government.
The Chief Minister has in the last 2 and half years has totally succeeded in tarnishing Punjab’s cherished culture of social harmony and brotherhood amongst communities, Jakhar said cautioning the electorate to remember the recent brutal incidents of day light attacks in Ludhiana and Maur when they go out to vote.
The string of violent incidents including in Batala and Amritsar reflect Bhagwant Mann’s callous and inept attitude towards governance. The lack of will power to understand issues of our state and do something constructive about them is the hallmark of this Chief Minister, Jakhar said in his appeal to voters to stamp their disapproval of this regime.
Later, the state BJP president also called on Punjab Governor H.E. Banwari Lal Purohit to convey his grave concern over dwindling law and order situation across Punjab, which due to AAP’s defunct approach towards governance, Jakhar said was painting Punjab in a bad light across the world.
Jakhar also thanked the Governor for his endeavour to ascertain existing on-ground situation in Ludhiana by visiting the city yesterday. Today hooliganism, drug related deaths and violent incidents are daily occurrences, which are not conducive for a prosperous future of our state, Jakhar said here while interacting with the media after meeting the Governor.
In his video message, while reminding the voters about the environment of fear and insecurity created by AAP’s apathy towards governance a border state like Punjab deserves, Jakhar asked voters to take another big step towards reversing the negativity by rejecting policies of Bhagwant Mann by casting their votes against this dispensation.
Vote for BJP as BJP is the only party which can ensure Punjab’s march towards progress with a decisive and strong leadership, Jakhar said exuding confidence that party candidate Sheetal Angural would win comfortably. BJP would keep exposing CM’s corruption amongst the public, Jakhar said.
The verdict on July 13 would reflect Punjab’s aspiration towards a peaceful, safe and thriving Punjab. People of Jalandhar would lead the way in restoring balance in the state by defeating AAP.
