In an endeavour to enhance the mathematical skills of students through the knowledge of Vedic Mathematics, the Postgraduate Department of Mathematics at Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, conducted a 10-day online bridge course titled ‘Math Magic: Where Imagination meets Calculations’. The main objective of the course was to provide a platform to the students for improving their mathematical skills and knowledge that will not only clear their basic concepts of Mathematics but also help them in various competitive exams. Vedic Mathematics provides techniques and methods that are often simpler, faster and more efficient than conventional methods taught in modern Mathematics. These techniques can help in mental calculations and problem-solving, making mathematics more accessible and enjoyable. The resource person for this engrossing course was Dr. Chitra. The interactive sessions, quiz and assignments were designed to provide a conducive learning environment that fosters intellectual growth and boosts the participants’ confidence. The participants expressed their enthusiasm for the well-structured course that promised to expand their subject knowledge and enhance their critical thinking abilities.
