Punjab Congress president and party candidate from Ludhiana Lok Sabha constituency Amarinder Singh Raja Waring has announced that the Congress government at the center will give Rs 1 lakh to every poor family every year. This will eradicate poverty from the country, he said. Addressing several public meetings and interacting with people during his extensive election campaign in various assembly constituencies here, Waring said that during the 10-year tenure of the BJP, around 20 Crores of people have again slipped below the poverty line.
He said that the Congress party has proposed such a revolutionary guarantee, which has not been offered by any government in the world. He said that the Congress government will identify all the poor families across the country. Every elderly woman from a poor family will get Rs 8500 directly in her account every month.
Reiterating allegations that BJP candidate Ravneet Singh Bittu proved to be only a ‘ghost MP’, Waring said the people of Ludhiana will soon know the difference between a ghost MP and a real MP after June 4.
