LUDHIANA, May 20 ( Harbans Singh)
 S. Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, the Congress Lok Sabha candidate, carried out an extensive campaign in the Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Dakha and Atam Nagar in Ludhiana. Accompanied by Sh. Sandeep Sandhu, General Secretary of the Punjab Pradesh Congress, Warring addressed the real issues facing Punjab, sharply criticizing the BJP and AAP for their governance failures and misleading promises.
During the campaign, Raja Warring highlighted the Congress Party's dedication to addressing Punjab's most pressing issues, setting it apart from the BJP's religious politics and AAP's extravagant yet empty promises.
"None of the parties, except Congress, are addressing the real issues facing Punjab. The BJP is engaging in religious politics, while AAP is preoccupied with promoting misleading claims. Bhagwant Mann seems to think that repeating a lie a hundred times will make people believe it," said Raja Warring.
He highlighted AAP's extravagant spending on advertising, which amounted to Rs. 900 crores, and the increase in Punjab's debt under AAP's governance from Rs. 2.82 lakh crore in FY 2021–22 to Rs. 3.43 lakh crore in FY 2023–24. He criticized AAP for failing to use the borrowed funds for development work and for its unfulfilled promise of eradicating drugs within three months.
"AAP's promise to make Punjab debt-free has fallen short. The loans taken by Punjab are being diverted to fund their campaigns in other states instead of being used for local development projects such as schools, hospitals, and bus stands. Contrary to AAP's claims, the drug problem in the state has worsened," Warring added.
Raja Warring also condemned the AAP government for misleading the public with promises of providing 40,000 jobs without any evidence and pointed out the deteriorating law and order situation, exemplified by the tragic murder of Sidhu Moosewala. He criticized AAP for preventing farmers from protesting in New Delhi over the MSP issue, contrasting it with Congress's steadfast support for farmers.
"Congress has always stood by the farmers, accompanying them to the Delhi border during their protest against the black farm laws. AAP's ineffective governance and divisive politics are costing Punjabis dearly," Warring stated.
