Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann campaigned for Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate from Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha constituency Laljit Singh Bhullar on Wednesday. Mann did a road show with Laljit Bhullar in Zira and Bhikhiwind and appealed to the people to make Bhullar win.
Thousands of AAP workers, leaders and common people attended the road show. People welcomed Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann by showering flowers on him and raising slogans. During the road show in Zira, Mann told the people that I have not come to ask for votes from you. I have come here to ask for your support to make Punjab Rangla again. In Bhikhiwind, he told the people that Majhails are known for writing history and looking at this enthusiastic crowd, it is clear to me that this time too a new history will be written in Manjha.
During the speech, Chief Minister Mann attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party and said that the BJP is trying to divide Punjab too, but the seeds of hatred can never grow in Punjab. Punjab has always been known for communal harmony. The people of Punjab never tolerate the politics of hatred. People here celebrate Gurpurabs, Eid, Holi, Diwali and Navami together. BJP’s politics of hatred can never succeed here.
He said that the BJP discriminates against Punjab. The BJP’s central government removed Punjab’s tableau from the 26 January parade. In that tableau, Lala Lajpat Rai, Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Mai Bhago were mentioned. He asked who is the BJP to reject the martyrs of Punjab?
Addressing the people, AAP candidate Laljit Singh Bhullar thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP workers and the people of Zira and Bhikhiwind. He appealed to the people to elect him to the Lok Sabha. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and I will together solve all the issues of this area, said the AAP candidate.
