Ashmah International School, Sector 70 organised a seminar on Health and Nutrition. Children were motivated to eat more and more fruits and vegetables as being growing bodies they require good nutrition. Fruits and vegetables contain a multitude of vitamins, minerals and other healthy compounds. Later, students were also informed about the importance of fruits and vegetables one by one.

Students took part in the `Healthy Food Recipe Activity` with great enthusiasm and excitement. They demonstrated their culinary skills in preparing easy-to-cook flameless delicacies. They also learnt the calorie content of each recipe they prepared. The entire school ambience was fragrant with the waft of fresh and savoury food. Along with the recipes, the teachers taught them about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. The little chefs ruled the hearts of the onlookers as they adorned aprons, Chef hats and gloves to cook and serve their creations. 

While encouraging students to eat fruits and vegetables instead of sugary snacks and fat-laden fast food  Principal of the School Suchi Grover motivated them to adopt healthy eating habits along with outdoor games to stay fit & fiddle. According to her, high-fiber foods, such as fruits and vegetables, help the digestive system function properly. Five portions of fruit and vegetables a day are enough to keep disease at bay and help us to live longer. She further added that it is high time to impart the importance of food to children for a healthy change in life.
