Chandigarh ,July 22  (Harbans Singh)

Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today accused the Aam Aadmi Party government of trying to cheat farmers by promising compensation, when it is not in a position to pay. He said it is like a cheque from a failing bank.

Responding to the government’s decision that farmers will be given acre-based compensation until the area is developed, Warring has directly described it as a confusing ploy by the AAP government to fool farmers.

He stressed that farmers will not fall for their tricks. He said that when the government does not have enough money to meet its daily expenses, pay salaries or give the promised Rs 1,000 to every woman, from where will it get the money to give to farmers?

He warned that this is a ploy to deceive the farmers and trap them in his trap.

Meanwhile, reiterating the appeal to the government to withdraw this policy, Warring asked that when there is no need for land pooling and farmers are not ready to give up their land, then what does it mean?

Expressing the Congress party’s support for the farmers against the government’s attempt to forcibly grab land, the state Congress president told the government in strong words that either you withdraw the policy or face resistance from the farmers and us.
