Shemrock Senior Secondary School, Sector 69 students have brought immense honor to their institution with outstanding victories in two separate sporting events.

In the Inter District Tennis Tournament organized by the Punjab School Education Board, the school’s U19 Boys category team secured a remarkable five gold medals. The talented participants included Shrihan Kohli, Ritivik Mahajan, Raghunandan Singh, Gurkaranjit Singh, and Kanav Bhardwaj, all from the eleventh grade. The tournament took place at Manav Rachna International School, Sector 82, Mohali.

Furthermore, the school’s U14 Boys Soccer Team achieved a significant triumph by winning the V.V De Rozario Six a Side Soccer Tournament organized by St. Xavier’s School, Sector 44, Chandigarh. The team participants were Karmanjeet Singh, Gurnoor Singh, Aarav Singh Brar, Gurshaan Singh, Sukhpal Singh, S. Nithin, Harmandeep Singh, Ishaan, and Sanbir Singh.

School Principal Preneet Sohal, MD Karan Bajwa, and Chairman A.S. Bajwa expressed immense pride in the achievements of the students and their dedication to both academics and sports. The school’s commitment to fostering a well-rounded education, emphasizing both intellectual and physical development, has been instrumental in these successes.

Chainman Bajwa said at the moment that our goal is to expose students to a wide range of sports and activities to develop love for sports & physical activity so that they may value a healthy, active lifestyle. He further added that many life skills are learned and developed on the sports field only.
