In a major boost to Punjab Congress, three prominent leaders, Davinder Singh Babbal, Surinder Singh Pappi Kamra, and Gurminder Singh Ratol, have joined the party under the leadership of Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee and Member of Parliament from Ludhiana. Their joining marks a significant strengthening of the party’s presence in the region, with all three leaders bringing a wealth of experience and dedicated service to the people. The event was also graced by Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa, who welcomed the new members to the party.

Davinder Singh Babbal, who has served as the Chairman of Zila Parishad in Jalalabad for two consecutive terms and also held the position of Market Committee Chairman for two terms, is well known for his grassroots work and contribution to rural development. Similarly, Surinder Singh Pappi Kamra, who has served as the President of the Truck Union for two terms, is a well-regarded figure within the transport sector. Gurminder Singh Ratol, a key figure in Tarn Taran, left the Shiromani Akali Dal today to join the Congress. He was the former Chairman-Market Committee Tarn Taran and is a well-regarded figure in the district, further underscoring the growing trust in the party among various sections of society. Their joining is seen as a reflection of the increasing appeal of Congress in Punjab.

Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, welcoming the leaders into the Congress fold, said, “It is a proud moment for us to have stalwarts like Davinder Singh Babbal, Surinder Singh Pappi Kamra, and Gurminder Singh Rataul join Punjab Congress. The joining of these leaders highlights the Congress party’s continued focus on inclusivity and empowerment, as it draws individuals from diverse fields who are committed to the welfare and progress of Punjab.
